Not all essential oils are created equal. Contrary to what many companies would like you to believe, there is a distinct difference. Some are created using a chemical process. These are not safe for human consumption, and may contain chemical residue.
The best oils are steam extracted, which leaves only the purest oil that is safe for every use. Of course, some oils can not be ingested, but are used in aromatherapy, some are for massaging sore muscles, and some are used as safe scents for cleaners, shampoos, or laundry. A company that tells the truth and gives consumers the proper proportions and safe uses is the only one I will recommend. The following are my recommendations for resources:
